A few other must haves and some nice to haves:
- Thorough understanding of building science and trade work (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Communication with the team and clientele
- Willingness to take direction and accept feedback
- Resourceful problem-solvers with a CAN DO attitude
- Detail-oriented with high standards
- Must be fully tooled
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Pass a criminal background check
- Nice to Have: minimum 7 years of experience in the construction industry
Typical Job Tasks and Expectations:
- Manage Subcontractors
- Site prep, demolition, and excavation
- Rough framing and carpentry
- Operate power tools and small equipment
- Minor drywall and tile
- Window and door installation
- Interior and exterior trim
- Cabinetry installation
- General understanding of building science and trade work (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
- Remove load-bearing walls and properly support structural loads
- Interpret Plans
- Properly layout and build walls
- Build Decks
- Replace Plumbing fixtures
- Custom Woodworking
Job Requirements and Compensation:
- Full-time, 35-40 hours per week
- Mon-Fri generally 7 am- 4 pm
- Competitive hourly wage, Paid twice monthly
- Paid vacation and holidays
- Partial health insurance (75% paid by Better Builders)
