A Versatile West Seattle Basement Remodel
Featuring an entertainment lounge, full bath, workout space, and a full wine room.
This full basement remodel reimagined an underutilized lower level into a comfortable, finished space that supports how the homeowners actually live.
The project was completed for empty nesters who value an active, outdoor-focused lifestyle, enjoy sharing good wine, and regularly gather to watch sports. Their existing basement was partially finished and poorly organized, which made it difficult to use in any meaningful way. Storage felt improvised, spaces lacked purpose, and the basement was rarely a place they chose to spend time.
The goal was a finished lower level that felt purposeful and well planned. The new layout balances relaxation, entertainment, exercise, and wine storage, allowing each zone to function clearly without competing for space.
A custom wine cellar became a defining feature of the remodel, designed to properly house an extensive wine collection while also serving as a visual focal point.
A new full bathroom further elevated the space, featuring a thoughtful layout and a spacious walk-in shower that makes the basement comfortable for everyday use and overnight guests.
